Chinese torchbearers run torch relay

Table tennis legend Deng Yaping also ran the torch relay¹ in Greece. Deng Yaping ran her first torch relay as an official of the International Olympic Committee in the 2000 Sydney Games. Chinese ambassador² to Greece Luo Linquan took over the torch from Deng Yaping.

Another torchbearer is 76-year old environmental expert Liu Hongliang, who is also the son of Liu Changchun, China's first Olympic athlete. Taiwan pop star Wang Lee Hom then took over the torch from Liu Hongliang.
