The survey was conducted among some 20,000 families and 10,000 children between the age of 12 and 18.
According to experts, children who loathe2 going to school or quit school, show some rebellious3 behaviors, are addicted to cyber games and take violent action are often called “the puzzled youth”. 90% of such puzzled youth are found among children between the age of 13 and 16, especially at the age of 13-15.
The survey shows that the puzzled youth tend to become younger than before and their number is increasing. These children have displayed the following problems. First, 98% of these children are addicted to cyber games and later commit offences under the influence of cyber games. Second, 56% of these children say they “find it hard to communicate with their parents”. Third, as the survey shows, many of these problematic children go dating at a premature4 age. In the survey, it is found that 27% of the children have love affair at a too young age (and the figure reflects only what parents know so far.) Fourthly, 48% of the problematic children have rebellious behaviors. The most common form of such rebellious behavior is running away from their homes. Fifthly, some children often take violent action. In the survey, 32% of the children had taken violent action against their parents, and 16% had carried violent behaviors to other people in society. For these people, 21% of the violent behaviors resulted from the children's own characters.
Most adolescents who display the above problems suffer from the negative influences coming to them from society and from their families, the survey shows.
