Chinanews, Beijing, September 29 (by Wei Wu) – The biggest Catholic1 seminary in China, National Seminary of the Chinese Catholic Church, recently moved to Daxing District in Beijing, with several hundred believers joining the moving ceremony.

 

China Catholic Seminary was first founded in 1983 in Beijing. This is the fourth relocation after it was founded. The new campus of the seminary covers an area of 16 acres, including a main teaching block, a conference hall, a library, a small church, and a dormitory building. Twenty-four professors will be teaching in the new seminary, making it the most advanced of its kind in Asia.

 

This seminary plays an indispensable2 part in the development of Catholicism in China, as it is the only Catholic brainpower on theology, training the reserves for Catholic church’s future development in China.
