Chinanews, Beijing, April 6 - The Ministry1 of Railways released its report on railway construction and operation in 2006 recently, which indicates that about 2.772 billion yuan of foreign investment and 23.512 billion yuan of domestic investment were absorbed to build railways in 2006.

 

Though the Ministry of Railways has been working hard to absorb more investment,and both investments from home and abroad have greatly increased, they are still far from enough.

 

The mission of the Ministry of Railways will still be improving financing system for railway construction. "We'll make more new policies to attract more investors," said an official from the Ministry.
