65.7% of pupils in Guangzhou get at least 1,000 yuan in Luna

Chinanews, Guangzhou, Mar1. 21 – Shortly after the Lunar New Year has ended, a survey was recently launched by a Guangzhou consultancy company aimed at studying children's pocket money in Guangzhou. The result shows that 660 participants got 2,856 yuan of gift money during the Lunar New Year on average. Some 65.7% of pupils get more than a thousand yuan, and the highest one can getting 50 thousand yuan.
About 98.5% of pupils received the New Year Gift money from their parents, relatives and parents’ colleagues give their money.
Most respondents know how much money they have got, except 23.4% of grade-one pupils. The survey reveals that 99% of them say that they will not spend all of their money, 32.4% of them will keep it as pocket money, and 21% of them will spend most of the money.
Some 60% of respondents promise that they will use the money to buy books and stationary2 and 27% of them will contribute some money to poor children in the rural areas.
