Chinanews, Beijing, Mar1. 16 – A recent survey shows that more and more Chinese people are happy with their retired2 life and at the same time, many old people have begun to make financial plans about their retired life.

 

The survey was conducted by AXA Group, an international financial service company. About 11,590 people from 16 industrial countries took part in the survey, which included various questions including people’s dreams, preparations, worries and expectations about their retired life.

 

Old people from Chinese mainland were included in the survey for the first time. About 1,003 working people and 997 retired people from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin and Chongqing took the survey.

 

The survey shows that Chinese people like to retire early and they highly expect their retired life.

 

“They are the happiest and most content group among all respondents. They hold a positive view to their retired life, enjoy the family gatherings3 and think that their income is enough for their living,“ said the report.

 

Related survey shows that the working class in China put 625 yuan on average into their pension plan, which equals 60% of the pension (966 yuan) that retired people currently receive every month. This indicates that Chinese working people fully4 understand the point that a proper financial plan is very important to their retired life.

 

According to the report, among all the 16 countries and regions included in the survey, the situation in China is somewhat unique: Chinese people respect the elderly and place great emphasis on family values, which is like the other Asian countries. However, in viewing retired life, they are more like Europeans and American people.
