Chinanews, Beijing, Mar1.9 – Li Xiaopeng, one of the most successful gymnasts of China, is said to be returning to the gym arena2 after one-year break for leg recovery. He is now on the way to recovery and is very likely to do new gymnastic movements in the upcoming competition in May, said Zhang Peiwen, leader of the Chinese Gymnastics Team.

 

As a most celebrated3 star in Chinese Gymnastics Team, Li made up his mind to receive an operation at the very beginning of last year to cure his two injured feet. His two feet had been hurt badly, left one worse, and this had long before turned to be the largest obstacle in his athletic4 career. In the whole year ever since, Li had only taken part in one competition, taking a gold medal in parallel bars in the Artistic5 Gymnastics World Cup final in Brazil。

 

According to Chen Xiong, chief coach of Li Xiaopeng, Li is now trying hard to finish a new horse-vaulting6 movement. “ I hope he can win another gold medal in horse vaulting in the Beijing Olympic Games,” Chen said.
