China to evaluate conditions of AIDS patients

Chinanews, Beijing, Mar1. 8 – Shao Yiming, an expert on AIDS from China Disease Prevention and Control Center (CDPCC) and also a member of CDPCC National Committee, said on Monday that the Ministry2 of Health and CDPCC will evaluate the current conditions of AIDS patients in China.

 

Shao said that people infected with AIDS should be above 800 thousand in China. He believed that the importance of such evaluation3 is to make people know better of current AIDS conditions.

 

Some officials from CDPCC also have sent free condoms and booklets on AIDS to the downtown areas of Beijing. Shao thought such methods had proved to be effective in most countries.
