most unexpected outcome 大冷门

“爆冷门”，简称“爆冷”，多用于体育比赛，表示出现意料之外或与多数人期待相反的结果（have an unexpected outcome in a game；produce a dark horse）。

 

“冷门”是相对于“热门（likely winner）”来说的，这个词最早出现在赌场中，“冷门”就是不受关注不被看好的。“大冷门”表示“most unexpected outcome”，“冷门迭爆”可以翻译为“succesive dark horses bobbed up”。
