形容食物好吃 上

1. yummy /ˈjʌmi/好吃的;美味的

 

小朋友最爱说的就是yummy，听起来很可爱，也很有韵律。

 

Well, I believe it is safe. Wow! Just look at those yummy-looking tomatoes!

唔，我相信它是安全的。哇!瞧瞧那些看起来很美味的西红柿!

 

2. tasty /'teɪstɪ/ n.可口的东西; adj.味道好的

 

Although it is tasty, crab¹ is very filling.

螃蟹虽然好吃，却容易让人感到饱足。

 

一定要注意是tasty√ 不是tasteful×

 

Tasteful是用来形容品味的：

 

A type of behavior is not tasteful.某种行为是很没品的。

 

3. lip-smacking /'smækɪŋ/

 

Smack意指“拍打”、“猛击”，smack your lips也就是“吧唧嘴”的意思。虽说这在吃饭时很不礼貌，但也间接能感受到饭菜很香。Lip-smacking借“让人想吧唧嘴”之意形容食物好吃、诱人。

 

The roast duck is very lip-smacking.

这道烤鸭很好吃。

 

4. appetizing /'æpə'taɪzɪŋ/开胃的;促进食欲的

 

Seafood² is always so appetizing .

海鲜总是那么的诱人。

 

5. mouth-watering

 

英文里真正的“垂涎欲滴”应该是这个词——mouth-watering!形容闻着香、看着美，口水都要流下来了~

 

Then there were plenty of mouth-watering, delicious food on the table.

桌子上摆满了令人垂涎的，美味的食物。

 

6. delectable³ /dɪ'lektəb(ə)l/美味的;令人愉快的

 

He ate every savoury morsel⁴ of a delectable stew⁵ at the dinner.

晚餐时他吃遍每一道味美可口的炖食。

 

7. finger-licking good /'lɪkɪŋ/

 

肯德基曾有一句用了几十年的广告语叫做finger-licking good (吮指留香)，这句话不知道让多少小伙伴们留下了舔手指的“好”习惯……英文里你也可以借用这句来形容东西很好吃，回味无穷~

 

This fried chicken is finger-licking good.

这炸鸡好吃得让人吮指回味。

 

8. flavorful /'fleɪvəfʊl/可口的，有味道的

 

Flavor的意思是口味，加上-ful后缀，就表示可口的;充满…味道的。用它来形容食物，就表示食物的口味丰富，很好吃。

 

Some Americans pop across the border simply to fuel up flavorful Mexican food and beer .

一些美国人越过国境，只是为了吃点可口的墨西哥食物，喝点墨西哥啤酒。
