华为提出印度5G网络无后门承诺

Huawei is preparing to sign a deal with India's government in which it would promise not to install backdoors in its network, in an effort to eliminate concerns about espionage¹, reports Russia Today.

The report said Huawei had reached an agreement with India's Vodafone Idea for a test of 5G services.

 

Meanwhile, India's telecommunications minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, has reportedly confirmed that Huawei would participate in the construction of the country's 5G network.

 

"We want a level playing field [in India]," Ding Yun, a senior Huawei executive, told Russia Today.

 

The United States has been urging its allies to ban Huawei from their rollout of 5G services, claiming that Huawei could facilitate spying by China's government.

 

Despite these accusations², which have been denied by both Huawei and China's government, Huawei has won most of the commercial contracts on offer to build 5G networks, according to Russia Today.
