南非女性萨瑞·库马洛登顶珠峰

South African Saray Khumalo has become the first black African woman to reach the top of Mt. Qomolangma, according to local media reports.

Khumalo, a business executive, reached the 8,850-meter summit of the world's highest mountain on Thursday morning in what was her fourth attempt.

 

Twitter has been abuzz with praise for her feat¹, including from fellow South Africans. The South African government posted a tweet congratulating Khumalo for becoming "the first black African woman to reach the top of the world by conquering Mt. Qomolangma. Bosso ke wena! (you are the boss!)"
