DIDI'S Dreams, a movie directed by Taiwan television host and actor Kevin Tsai, has recently premiered in Beijing.
 
台湾电视节目主持人、演员蔡康永导演的电影《“吃吃”的爱》最近在北京举行首映式。
 
 
Tsai has revealed that he made his directorial debut1 as a gift to loyal fans of his popular comedy talk show, Kangxi Lai Le.
 
According to the talk show host-turned film director, the movie tells a story about friendship between girls.
 
It's also the first film collaboration2 by Tsai and Elephant Dee, who co-hosted the variety-comedy talk show Kangxi Lai Le, or Kangxi Is Coming, from 2004 to 2015.
 
Elephant Dee plays a lead role in DIDI'S Dreams as a small potato in the entertainment industry whose elder sister, by contrast, is a big star.
 
Model actress Lin Chi-ling portrays3 the elder sister.
 
DIDI's Dreams also stars Chinese actor and swimmer Jin Shijia and model-actor Li Zifeng.
 
The film will hit theatres on Saturday.
